One of the best thing to do in Edinburgh : climbing Arthur’s seat

On our last day in Edinburgh, we hiked Arthur’s seat to have great views over the town and the ocean. The hike was challenging, but climbing on the top of the hill was rewarding. What a view from there !! The weather was perfect, it was not too hot with a little wind.

The hill is in fact an extinct volcano that has been eroded over the years. The name is related to the fact that this site is probably one of the possible locations for the castle and court of the King Arthur. On our way to the top, I stopped several time to take pictures of the flowers. It was so pretty !  A must do if you visit Edinburgh !!!

That was the end of our trip to Edinburgh, I hope you enjoyed it :-)

  1. I kept telling myself to come back and comment on your blog…but I keep forgetting :( Thanks for reading the posts on my blog :) I’m going through your entries and will have a lot to catch up! Your Scotland posts will be very helpful to me since I just moved to Glasgow and will certainly travel around a bit. Great photos of Edinburgh – I will definitely go there someday (hopefully soon)!
